I can't coerce you into this one

Only when the goal
is unattainable

do I start
to feel
like I'm losing myself

and this deep secret
that hasn't come out yet
is buried
down deep
with the rest

I can't coerce you into this one

Jealousy lay all your spells to bed
I'll choose unloved instead

If only songs were sung

to guide the doubtful ones
beyond
the rough

where not as much is good enough
Oh, if you find yourself
amongst the lonely ones
I will
be waiting here with open arms

I can't coerce you into this one

Jealousy lay all your spells to bed
I'll choose unloved instead

This video. I saw from here

Can You (Janelle or cola or whoever is reading) tell me:

!) What do you call that? The mauve/grey/purple undertones in the video. What do you call that?

2) What do you call her hair? (krystal? would you call that sex hair?)

Do you get where I'm coming from?

I really like the video, I do, but it's for the above said reasons/ questions.

why?

Happy 50th post

Hi guys

I'm at work now. I was scrolling through my bookmarks list and I realised
how frivolous aimless internet browsing is and
how much I love it.

Look:

*ooo* click me

See that? That is a replication of the Ratatouille’s Ratatouille

If only I had an oven. Really does look rather appetizing for a plate of vegetables

yum?

And look how nice are Melinda Josie's illustrations?

And,

look, I found Tom Palumbo through blahblahblahg

Right.
Back to aimless internet surfing before 5.30pm

mansard roof by vampire weekend is a really old song, but i feel really happy whenever I listen to it C: maybe it's because i always think of the video, which is of the vampire weekend boys acting all preppy on a yacht eating tuna sandwiches and basking in the sun with their boat shoes and rarified new england air

I think that I shall make a happy autumn playlist! but first! a picture to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside!

andreawan

mmm here's some free publicity for andrea wan encapsulating the spirit of autumn in this piece of work. she seems to be an illustrator from canada once again living out my dream life--- an impossible goal for the art failure of secondary school!!!!! of all the failures in the world, perhaps that is the worst, because shouldn't art be about cultivating the creative spirit? art teachers would probably launch into a spiel about how art should have some sort of standard. well, those unidentifiable blobs of colour... they were symbols representing the broken spirit of this bankrupt world! an unquantifiable amount of frustration went into reproducing sketch after sketch for my end of semester examination. A for effort, I guess, and I probably should get over it considering that I'm not in architecture or art school--- I'll leave the drawing to the ingenues of the art world. And Mae. Make me proud! C:

Hi cola! Hi world!

It's Friday today! yay.

I was watching Starworld? Two nights ago? I think?

And Glee was on! (glee!) and Rachel was singing 'total eclipse of the heart' and then I googled it, looked up youtube and came across this. It is preeeetty funny. So you should watch it too.

I present to you...Ms Germany 2009! What a coooool costume!

Right ok. I have this song stuck in my head now.

"
I wonder how
I wonder why

WINTER IS HERE

Hi mae!

Winter is here in Melbourne! My aunt bought me a "cowl". It's really cool, but I think that if you don't wear it properly, it's going to look very strange. If you didn't know, a cowl is like, a scarf + a hoodie. Freaky huh! Apparently the concept came about all the way back from the middle ages! Woah!

Don't these photos remind you of summer? It seems that that's the only thing that's on my mind whenever winter comes around, and vice versa for when summer's about to happen. I really want a pigtail and a hat!

Photos from THIS IS NAIVE : an asian (specific origin unknown--- China? Malaysia? Japan? Singapore?) living in London who spends copious amounts of time taking pictures of the many things that pop up in her life. (Upon leaving university, I can only dream that this will be my life... but considering my penchant for all things expensive and inability to save money, I have a feeling that I'll be chained to a desk working for money to fuel my flighty habits--- the antithesis of everything that i've ever dreamed up~ ) Check her blog out though, she really does take wonderful pictures and has a very minimalistic style of writing.

Do you feel it too?! Can you?

Easter Party
Taken by Carlos and Jason Sanchez

"Fear, isolation and tension characterize the work of the young Canadian photographers Carlos (29) and Jason (25) Sanchez. The brothers visualize moments of struggle and conflict, based on personal experience and stories in the media. The result is psychologically charged images, with subtly conveyed emotions. By exposing taboos and areas of social stress in society, the photographers give room for new insights. They willingly leave the viewer to interpret these meticulously posed, cinimatically pictures in their own way."

Really. Can you tell I'm bored?

Have a great day.

hello hello!

"MIrror, glue, cement / Vosges, Alsace, France

Upon invitation to reflect on the notion of transparency, that led me into the forest to envelop the contour of a large stone with fragments of mirror. The large stone, tucked away deep in the woods, became a reflective surface for its surroundings. In this play of splintered radiance, the rock disappears in its reflections. Because it reflects one cannot be mislead by its presence, yet we cannot seize it, rather it is the rock that reflects us."-Michel de Broin

Today

Cola, you're right about 2 things

1. We cannot do without email threads
2. Entries should not be elusive and vague in a bid to sound cooler.

I shall work on it.

Here is a picture of a ...Giant Barb

Click the words Giant Barb to learn more about it and other monster fishes.

It's so warped! Like, how that fish looks exactly like what I'd have for dinner BUT like a gazillion times larger than life. Very cool.

I've been thinking about giant freshwater fishes a lot because I've been watching a lot of Animal planet or National geographic. Really, I google them, scrutinize them, think about them, dreamt of them (once) and ... yeah.

So here you go.

right.

Ok, uh, have a nice day?

i will always love this song

Photo from

Good Morning. I haven't much to say but I think the girl (see picture) has nice messy hair.

Well. Last night I was watching River Monsters on Discovery Channel and they were in the pursuit of the alligator gar.

It's actually a freshwater fish so it's not an Alligator. But then they caught a very huge gar. I think it was about 6 feet long (which is larger than me! But probably slimmer but anyway)

The show impacted me profoundly though I don't know why

I dreamt of large hamsters that were snapping at my fingers and I felt threatened yet I kept stroking it to appease it's anger.

Ok. You didn't need to know that.

I hope you're ok Cola! I was at work hence the short conversation. Good times ahead, good times when you're back and when we're more grown up and we can do more fun grown up stuff. (not really bad stuff or anything compromising)

I wish I were there now. Must be nice to eat a lot a lot of Junk food and not feel too bad cause you need the insulation.

Have a nice day.

angst

hi mae

i miss home. i just talked to you on the phone about exam stress: i'm sleeping 8 hours every day but lately i haven't been able to concentrate in class. i get really annoyed at everything and i think i have to exercise. nothing is satisfying me anymore. that's why i feel so strange. everyone here is smarter than i am, and it sucks. i wish that maybe i was karen o (pictured above). i'm willing to bet she doesn't have to deal with shitheads with an iq of 574. not that i've met a shithead with an iq of 574. i'm using hyperbole! i spend all my time dreaming, whining and wishing now: i wish that my life was a haiku.
